Doctor visit

I went to my doctor's today. I changed my doctor recently because I did not feel he was doing enough blood work and was over worked to see what was happening with me. The new doctor immediately order blood work and started changing my pills.

As it turns out the last doctor just kept doubling my cholesterol medication and it has done damage to my liver. She ( the new doctor) has taken me off all the statins and put me on a powder that doesn't filter through the liver.

We are  also looking into changing my diet by adding foods that can help heal the liver naturally. If this doesn't work, I am not sure what we are going to do.

We have a very smart grandson!

Our grandson Caleb is 22 months. He and his Papa have a very special relationship. They really love each other and Caleb loves to talk to Papa on the phone. Today, while his mother was in the shower he got her cell phone, unlocked it and called his Papa, by himself. His big sister was watching him and when she realized he had the phone she took it from him and hung it up. When we called back we found out it was Caleb who called. His mom was surprised that he figured out how to unlock her phone, but we weren't. His is our grandson after all!

Carnival Cruise to Hawaii

In January we went on a cruise to Hawaii. It was one of the best vacations we have every gone on. I loved the cruise, although we all agreed that 4 days at see is a long time. But they had things for the kids to do so they weren't so bored and plenty for the adults to do. They even had a babysitting service available so our daughter and her husband could have some time alone. Once we got to Hawaii, I would have liked more time to really enjoy each location, but what I saw was awesome. My husband and I would like to return someday and see it on our terms.

Star Trek Into Darkness

We went to see Star Trek Into Darkness yesterday. It was the best Star Trek yet. I really love Zachary Quinto as Spock and Chris Pine as Kirk. They have the Kirk Spock relationship down better than I remember from the series. But the whole movie was unbelievably good. The story line, the affects, the relationships, everything. I can not wait for another one. Or even a new TV series refreshing the five year mission, boldly going where we all would like to go.

Colusa Interview

I am so excited, I have an interview with Colusa County for the Office Assistant III. Driving into town to drop off my application and resume, I fell in love with the town. It is so cute and I miss the feel of a small town. I would love to live there. I hope this works out because nothing would please me more right now.
